Sheep systems
Speak to any member of staff and they will gladly tell you which size suits your requirements. We manufacture several standard layouts, which range from our Economy sheep race – an excellent starter package – up to our standard sheep handling layout No 1, which is designed to accommodate several hundred sheep. We offer an on-farm design service (free of charge) and any of our area sales managers will be only too happy to call and discuss the options with you. Our sheep races are made of a heavy-duty box section with galvanised sheet riveted to one side. Our handling penning is manufactured in both sheeted and railed designs, with 40×40mm box-section framework.
SheepVet
Our unique SheepVet is the envy of the world, with its patented self-locking yoke gate. It is manufactured in two sizes: the standard and the pedigree version.
Sheep hurdles
Heavy-duty railed sheep hurdle c/w lugs to form sheep holding pens in handling systems. Our hurdles are made from a 25×25mm RHS frame with seven 22mm OD tubes throughout and two loops at one end for easy connection. They are sold in packs of 25 and we manufacture four standard sizes: 4ft 0in, 5ft 0in, 6ft 0in and 8ft 0in. These are also made with mesh to form lambing pens. If you choose to have coupling rods instead of loops, at a small additional cost, this is easily achieved.
Sheep-handling equipment
Sheep head yoke unit c/w sheeted hurdle and access gate. The manually operated sheep head yoke is designed to catch an animal whilst it runs along the race. It has variable width settings down to a 70mm aperture. A sheeted hurdle with spring-loaded access gate can be connected to the yoke unit, enabling access to the rear of the animal.
Sheep winter feed equipment
We manufacture a variety of lamb creep shelters and feeders and sheep hayrack and mangers, which are complemented by our hook-over trough and hayrack range.
Holding pens
Part-sheeted sheep holding pens used in abattoirs and markets.
Goat penning
Generally manufactured using part-meshed panels and gates to hang at 1300mm from floor level. We can also provide special hayracks and troughs to complete your goat housing requirements.
Sheep system
We can supply any shape, size and design of handling or feeding/housing layout. The only limitation is space or ideas! We offer six different large race layouts as standard – portable if required, or bolt-down for permanent fixture.
