Product news
The Hine Hydraulic Cattle Crush is a first for British cattle handling and is designed with British farming methods in mind, not American-style ranching.
The product is designed by Robert Hine, our very own Design Director here at Batemans, and moves forward the limits of safety for both the animal and the operator in this new age of cattle handling.
By introducing remote controls, we are providing paramount safety and increasing overall welfare, care and animal control.
The Hine Hydraulic Cattle Crush features:
- Hydraulically operated head yoke that can be adjusted to vary the width, before and after entrapment.
- Tandem sides to hydraulically squeeze the animal into a position of comfort and restraint.
- The unique chin lift restrains the animal’s head to enable tagging, drenching or other work around the head.
- 3mm steel plate floor with 10mm rubber matting, together with 6mm smooth, black polypropylene cladding, creating an easily cleaned and quieter working environment.
- Swinging beam with controls to all hydraulic functions, can be positioned to the rear, side or front of crush to avoid distraction to animals entering or exiting the crush.
- Drop-down top access doors mounted on the removable horizontal squeeze beam.
- Hinged lower doors giving clear access for belly clipping and suckling calves.
- Front doors to allow injecting and TB testing.
- Quick-release couplings to connect to constant pumping tractor hydraulics or 240V hydraulic power pack (at additional cost).
